7-language schoolgirl: Learning thirst for knowledge from Uncle Ho

(Baonghean.vn) - Thoughts and feelings of typical members of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union being the representatives of Nghe An youth in implementing Directive No. 3 by the Politburo concerning  promoting the “Studying and Following President Ho Chi Minh's Moral Example”.

Nguyen Thi Thom - Deputy Secretary of Nghe An’s Youth Union

“Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example not only show our responsibilities but our affection for Uncle Ho as well. First and foremost each member of the Youth Union must be voluntary and pay attention to the smallest things both in private life and at workplace. Everything we do should be put in comparison to Uncle Ho’s honesty and virtue. Such tiny stuff shall make our habits, lifestyle, ways of thinking and acting in harmony with our moral standards, institutions and society”.

Moong Van Tinh - Member of the Youth Union, Khmu Ethnic, Que Phong District

“Uncle Ho was a leader with great mind and noble character. His ideal is considered the light guiding the youth. I promise to keep studying and following Uncle Ho’s moral example and contribute to the development of our country in general and Khmu ethnic people in particular”.

Tran Khanh Vy - Student of Phan Boi Chau High School

"What I admire the most about Uncle Ho is his thirst for knowledge. Regarding learning foreign languages, he was a creative, persistent and dynamic example of self-studying. I am aware that languages are indispensable ‘bridges’ in the process of integration for each country. That’s the reason why I always learn from Uncle Ho, polish my language skills in order to apply to daily communication, support my future career and contribute my ability to the comprehensive development of our community and country”.

Hoang Quang Phuc - Secretary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An’s Social Insurance

"While our country is heading towards industrialization, modernization and international integration, it’s a fact that a number of young people show negative signs in their moral, studying and working. Those are dependent, waste time and health on pointless activities, ‘live virtually’ on the Internet, lack living skills, fall behind non-stop evolvement of the world and have no determination to improve in their work and moral practice. Therefore, studying and following Uncle Ho’s moral example prove to be essential more than ever, especially to today’s youth”.

Nguyen Cong Minh - Member of the Youth Union, Vinh City

"I find stories about Uncle Ho most understandable moral lessons. Short stories about Uncle Ho’s sacrifice, simplicity and diligence in life are not so theoretic but really worth studying and following. As a child, I was keen on those books about President Ho Chi Minh. Now as a member of the Youth Union, those lessons learnt and accumulated from Uncle Ho’s behavior lead my thoughts and action”.
