(Baonghean.vn) - On May 4th, People’s Committee of Nghe An held a meeting on planning to establish direct flight from Vinh to Bangkok.

The establishment of Vinh-Bangkok direct flight is an important action to be taken in current situation. The efficacy of this route will be a significant base to extend to others, which then helps to attract the investment in tourism and development of the province in particular, and the North Centre region in general.
The provincial People’s Committee has incorporated with Viettravel to establish the flight, in addition, People Committee of Nghe An also assigned related authorities to contribute to the development and propaganda of the route to individuals and organizations. Moreover, related departments took the responsibility to collaborate with other nearby provinces such as Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa to gain attention from people to help to the success of Vinh-Bangkok direct flight.
As planned, the first flight of Vinh-Bangkok will depart on June 8th. The flight will be served with A320 airplane of capacity 180 seats from Vietjet Air Thailand, the expected departures will be on June 8th, July 13th, August 10th with the flight time of 1.5 hour.
The ticket price of the route will be 5,290,000 VND, and a group-based compact tour for individuals to travel Vinh-Bangkok-Pattaya-Vinh (5 days and 4 nights) is 6,990,000 VND/adult.

In the meeting, representatives of related authorities and departments reported results on their own assignments, provided comments and suggestions in order to get the flight line a good preparation.
Deputy Chairman of People’s Committee of Nghe An, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien confirmed with Viettravel the continual concretization and commitment implementation from province’s leaders to deploy effectively the route.
Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien asked the units of charge to update and carefully manage the route daily, to finish the building of infrastructure of Vinh International Airport, to promote the propaganda in corporation with neighbor provinces to well establish the route Vinh-Bangkok, which will be the base to extend the frequency as well as other routes to international destinations in the future.
